Chuck Barend moved to Little Compton from the North Shore of Oahu in 2003. Chuck and his wife, Ana, settled into a uniquely beautiful, rural, New England village here in the “Ocean State.” They found a small town where their “kids can be kids” and enjoy nature, a simple life, and the ocean lifestyle. Chuck’s passion for surfing and enjoying the waterman lifestyle led him to launch and operate Living Water Surf Co., a surfing/beach lifestyle retail store that quickly became part of the community. Chuck also, co-founded LC Surf Camp, a fun weekly surf camp that fills youngsters with joy and excitement: “stoked!”
Chuck epitomizes integrity, hard work, and creative service in every detail of a real estate transaction. He learned through retail that customer service and integrity while meeting people’s needs is essential. Chuck also served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard as a Helicopter Rescue Swimmer and EMT. Locally, Chuck served on the Little Compton Planning Board, giving Chuck a greater understanding of Real Estate development and specific needs of the community such as affordable housing and land preservation.
“I’m committed to serving my clients with devotion and professionalism in all aspects of a real estate transaction”.
